UC browser claims 50% mobile browser market share in India

UC Browser, A flagship mobile browser of UCWeb has now said that it has registered more than 50% of market share as of September 2015 in case of mobile browsing in India. The numbers have been revealed by research firm StatCounter.


The company has made the announcement on the side-lines of IAMAI Affiliate Summit 2015 in New Delhi.

UCWeb has seen staggering success in the Indian market with its market share rising a 15% in last 12 months alone. As of today every second mobile users in India is using UC Browser to access websites.

Company is currently working with nearly 5,000 partners to drive content and services on the app and also tying up with smartphone manufacturers and brands to include our app on their phones.

The UC browser is also working on a feature which will let users to watch videos on a small split window while browsing. More than 90% to the browser’s user base are on the Android platform and the rest on iOS and Windows.
