Skype App Updated for Android and iOS With Video Filters and 3D Touch Support

Just a week back Skype had released a new update for its smartphone application and the company has now released another major upgrade with few of new features and improvements.

The main key of this update could be a message filters which can now be applied to videos and it is available for both Android and iOS versions. Video messages allow you to record short clips and send them to your Skype contacts to be viewed at any time, they don’t have to be online. However, users is not able to add filters such as balloons and ghosts to their video messages. But there is a option at the bottom left of the video message window for add balloons to your video message to celebrate any occasion.

New Skype update is also featured with the video-centred ephemeral messenger added lenses, trophies, and paid replays to its app, so users can able to take a selfie and then choose face filters and add awards icons to the images.

Skype has also introduce 3D touch support on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus for iOS users. Thus iPhone users will be able to get into their conversations much faster using 3D Touch. Users will be able to Force Touch the Skype icon on the home screen for quick access to some of the most used features.

New update also includes the option to share a Skype contact by tapping the contact card icon in a conversation to open the contact list. You can also delete and hide chats from your recent conversations by tapping Edit or swiping the contact.
