It has been four months since the release of Android’s latest OS Marshmallow 6.0. The only few Android devices have received the update yet among with the Nexus devices running it first. However, Sony’s Xperia Z5, Z4, and Z3 devices will reportedly be getting the update pretty soon as well.

Now an Android’s new version 6.0 Marshmallow has reportedly started rolling out to users of Sony Xperia Z5 in Turkey. However, There is no official word from the company but it looks the rollout has begun and will soon be followed globally for the Xperia Z5 Compact and the Xperia Z5 premium models.

Sony Xperia Z5 was launched with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. The Marshmallow update for Sony Xperia Z3 or Z3 compact can now be tried out through its beta test according to Neurogadget.

A Facebook post made by the Sony Xperia Turkey fan page features an image showcasing the Xperia Z5, the Xperia Z5 Compact, the Xperia Z5 Premium and the Xperia Z3+ along with their Android update status. However, Sony has not officially confirmed the rollout details of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Xperia Z5 handsets. The company support page still shows Android 5.1 Lollipop as the latest OS version for the Xperia Z5.

Sony last week confirmed that the Xperia M4 Aqua smartphone will directly receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow which came with Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-box. But company did not give a specific time for it.

The Sony Xperia C4 and Xperia C5 Ultra received Android 5.1 Lollipop update last monthand last week also rolled out Android 5.1 Lollipop update to the Xperia M5, and the Xperia M5 Dual.
