Search Engine Yahoo will now look at your Flickr account while catering results for your search queries. The company has announced that users who are signed into their Yahoo account would now see their Flickr images in Yahoo image search results.
The company has announced that, If you’re signed into your account on the photo social network and happen to run an image search on Yahoo, the system will display the publicly available photos you’ve taken that match up with that criteria, along with images from people you follow and top public photos on Flickr.
The search result will also include a selection of images from people you follow and public photos on Flickr.
If you are worried that your Flickr images might show up on other’s searches, don’t be. The company says that only images from one’s personal Flickr account will appear in the results. “We will only pull Flickr photos from your personal account if you have images relevant to your search.”
Besides, Yahoo has advanced search options such as color and size that are applicable to images from web as well as Flickr. Then there’s ‘More images’ button that will appear in every category of Flickr image results and links directly to Flickr.com for more photos.
This new Yahoo feature is only available to web users in the U.S. It comes the day after Flickr released an updated iOS app that includes support for 3D Touch and improvements to Spotlight search. There is no word on when it will begin rolling out to others.
In July, company had announced that it is bringing back the Pro plan to Flickr. The paid subscription is priced at $5.99 (Approx Rs. 380 in India) per month or $49.99 per year.
