Xiaomi today unveiled its new Redmi Note 3 smartphone at an event held at China National Convention Center in Beijing. It is essentially the successor to the company’s Redmi Note 2 which was launched about a couple of months back. The smartphone is going on sale in China with prices starting from 899 Yuan or roughly Rs 9,300 in India.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has been launched in two variants. One with the 16GB variant with 2GB of RAM and it is priced at the 8,99 Yuan (Approx Rs. 3,949 for India) and the 32GB variant with 3GB of RAM is priced at 1,099 Yuan or (Approx Rs. 11,449 for India). However, The memory can be expanded using a microSD card.
Redmi Note 3 comes with metal body and it is only 8.65mm thick and weighs 164 grams. It is being made available in three colors option silver, dark grey and gold.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is the company’s first smartphone to feature a fingerprint scanner placed below the rear camera. According to Xiaomi that the sensor is ultra-fast and can unlock the device in just 0.3 seconds.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 features a 5.5-inch screen with 1080×1920 pixels Sunlight Display and is touted be a “fully-laminated display”.It runs on MIUI 7 based on Android OS and powered by 4,000mAh battery with fast charging support that can charge up to 50% in 1 hour.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is featured by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 Cortex-A53 processor coupled. Camera at rear sports a 13 MP with phase detection auto-focus (PDAF) and two-tone flash also there is a 5 MP front-camera.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is a Dual-SIM smart phone and connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and GPS.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is just launched in China and there is no information about when it will launch in other countries.
