Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Mi Max will be unveiled on event in Beijing, China on 10th, May. Now company is going to make a couple of more announcements that day.
The company has already announced that it will be unveiling the 6.4-inch Mi Max phablet at the event and the Mi Band, Xiaomi has also teased the next iteration of its custom UI, Which could be shown off the event as well.
“Evolving from the first version in 2010, MIUI has served as the operating system for over 150 million across the globe,” a post on MIUI forum said. “On May 10, we will introduce you MIUI 8, with the features you always wanted and new designs beyond your imagination.”
The 16 seconds demo video teaser offers a sneak peek into MIUI 8’s new notification shade. The video shows dragging down from the top of the screen brings up the notification panel along with the quick setting toggles that can be revealed by scrolling left or right.
According to rumors that MIUI 8 could include a music streaming service. Xiaomi already has content partnerships in China and it had recently invested in Hungama in India.
Xiaomi has told that the Mi Max will be a part of a completely new lineup of devices that will separate the existing Redmi and Mi series. Mi Max phablet is accepted to come up with price of around $500 (Rs 33,000 approximately).
The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is also set to launch on May 10. Just yesterday, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun teased the Mi Band 2 on Weibo. The next-gen wearable comes with an LCD display and a physical button that would let users cycle between information such as number of steps taken, time, sleep monitoring and may be the heart rate too.
