Xiaomi Mi Max Phablet Release Date Officially Revealed, To Be Announced On May 10 In China

Xiaomi’s long-rumored Mi Max phone is now finally going to launch on second week of next month.

Via social media platform Weibo, Xiaomi confirmed that it would launch the new Mi Max smartphone series at Beijing National Convention Center on 10, May and also released a total of nine teaser posters with different colours mentioning same launch date details.

The company also announced that the tickets for event are now available for interested Mi adorers. The company recently teased its new smart device in its MIUI fan forums with a picture of the phablet in the pocket of a pair of jeans. However according to the picture it will fit inside a jeans pocket as well.

Company is offering 900 tickets to participate in the launch event via Mi APP store for ¥199 (Rs. 2041 or $30 USD Approx). The registration window is scheduled to open on April 27 at 10:00 a.m. CST (7:30 a.m. IST).

Recently, Xiaomi Mi Max was spotted at GFXBench performance testing website. It showed that the device would feature a 6.4-inch full HD (1920x1080p) display. Other expected features of Xiaomi Mi Max include Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexa-core (ARMv8-based Cortex A72 x 6) CPU, Adreno 510, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, a 16MP primary camera and a 5MP front snapper.
