Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 4 code named Neo has been kept secrets in the video game industry. The PS4 NEO was confirmed by the tech giant before E3 2016, however, Sony failed to show off their new device during the expo and are expected to reveal new details either at Gamescom or the Tokyo Game Show.
Now the price tag and release date of Sony PlayStation Neo seem to have been made listed on Amazon Spain. A product page for the PlayStation Neo was spotted on the site and quickly removed once news outlets started reporting on its information. Although Amazon does not show a single image for this model.
According to a representative from Sony, the PS4 NEO listing was an error and was meant to be for the PlayStation VR.
A listing on Amazon’s Spanish website listed the PlayStation Neo as going on sale set for October 13 and costs €399,99. This price is actually much lower than it was expected.
Sony PlayStation Neo is expected to work well alongside the PlayStation VR headset, it makes sense that Sony would try to keep the console’s cost in line with the launch pricing of the standard PlayStation 4. While it was rumoured that the PlayStation Neo would use a new CPU. According to leaks the device will use the existing Jaguar architecture, but at a higher clock speed.
According to recent reports, Sony will announce a Neo soon. The first details of the new PS Neo is expected at the Tokyo Game Show.
