After a long rumors that Pepsi (Soft Drinks Co.) will produce mobile phones of their own, now has Pepsi announced the release of company’s first smartphone “Pepsi P1″manufactured by Shenzhen Scooby Communication.
The Pepsi P1 comes with aluminum unit body, 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1080P with 2.5D glass and octa-core MT6592 processor. Pepsi P1 runs on dido OS cover to Android 5.1. It has camera 13 MP rear camera with 5 MP front camera, a fingerprint reader and 3,000 mAh battery.

The new Pepsi phone is currently listed on JD.com for price of CNY 6,99 (approx $110 USD).

Early Pepsi P1 was priced $78 and sold out quickly, followed by higher tiers of $110 and $150 with 1,000 units available each. If the Pepsi P1 successfully hits its funding goal of $46,9950 by December 3rd, it will officially launch at around $200 with a special FDD-LTE variant headed to China Unicom as the P1s.
‘We are pleased to share that Pepsi is working with a licensing partner to bring a line of mobile phones and accessories to market in China in the next few months” said PepsiCo spokesman.
