Oppo a Chinese smartphone maker has announced on its Twitter account India that company would launch a successor to F1 smartphone on 3rd, August. The company also released a teaser image that just contains the name of the phone and says “coming soon.”
Oppo didn’t reveal any of the F1s’ specifications as of now.
Oppo’s Vice President and Managing Director of International Mobile Business Sky Li said, “Global reception for the F1 has been incredible and users have given us a lot of great feedback, so we wanted to go one step further to bring them the ultimate experience. The upgraded F1s is going to be a huge hit.”
The Oppo F-series was first launched in CES 2016 and introduced. Oppo had then said the lineup would be focused on excellent camera performance as well as impressive specification.
Oppo F1 and F1 Plus smartphones were first launched under F-series. The Oppo F1 was launched in January this year featured a 5-inch display of HD, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 SoC with 3GB of RAM. It also sported a 13 MP rear camera and 8 MP front-facing selfie snapper. The front camera came with a wider f/2.0 aperture and image enhancing features such as Beautify 3.0, 8 live color filters and more.
Oppo F1 is a dual-SIM smartphone runs on ColorOS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes with an aluminium body and is slim at 7.25mm.

However, The Oppo F1 Plus launched in April featuring a 5.5 inch 1080p AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and powered by 64-bit octa core MediaTek Helio P10, MT6755 SoC with 4 GB of RAM.
It comes with a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash, with an f/2.2 aperture, PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and 4K video recording and 16-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture, Wide-Angle Lens 78.1°, Beautify 4.0 and more.
The Chinese firm also claimed that the Oppo F1 was the top smartphone in the several countries such as India, Indonesia and Vietnam under $225-$300 price range this May.
