The much rumored OnePlus 2 is all set to unveiled on Monday the 27th July in a virtual reality launch at 7 PM PT.
The OnePlus has already told a few key specifications for the OnePlus 2 that it will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset, will feature a USB-C port and support advanced features like 4K Ultra HD video streaming and 3D gaming.
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei wrote in a blog post, “In our industry, product launches tend to be the same. An auditorium, a keynote, and a seated audience. For the OnePlus 2 launch, we didn’t want that barrier between us and you, we want to invite you into our world, because you’re a major part of it.”
OnePlus 2 will be launched with a VR experience that fans will be able to check out using their phones with a cardboard viewer. Company says it’s developed a refined cardboard headset that’s durable and resistant to dust and oils, you can get your own by paying only for shipping once it becomes available.
OnePlus fans will be able to use their Google Cardboard viewers to watch the launch of the new phone and get up close and personal. OnePlus will also be sending out their own OnePlus branded Google Cardboard viewers to watch the event.
