We all know that Nokia is restricted to make its own smartphones until 2016 due to the deal with Microsoft, But in year 2016 Nokia will back in smartphone market with company’s first Android smartphone currently named Nokia C1.
It was in news last year that Nokia is working on new smartphone will run on Android OS called C1. Now, a fresh alleged images offering a sneak peek of Nokia C1.
It’s been said that after the non-compete clause in Nokia’s deal with Microsoft expires company will be reenter in the smartphone market in 2016. Rajeev Suri Nokia’s CEO hinted at the possibility as well in an interview given with German publication Manager Magazin, confirmed the company’s plans to return to the phone business, from earlier report this year, which claimed that the company would launch a new smartphone next year.
Rajeev Suri said “We will look for suitable partners”. Microsoft makes mobile phones. We would simply design them and then make the brand name available to license.
Nokia had launched the first Android based tablet the N1 was designed the tablet but licensed a Chinese company to manufacture the tablet, use its brand name and sell it in China. Rajeev said that the company is set to follow the same principle for its smartphone business as well.
The leaked alleged images of the smartphone show unibody construction with curved edges, but it’s not clear it is a metal or plastic body form our end.

In terms of specifications Nokia C1 may feature a 5-inch Full HD display, An Intel Atom chipset with 2 GB of RAM and 8 MP rear camera with 5 MP front camera. 32 GB of inbuilt memory storage. Nokia C1 might come with latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Nokia C1 is a ultra-slim device with a narrow frame.
