Nikon announced the addition of another mirrorless interchangeable lens (MILC) camera to its 1-series Nikon 1 J5.
Nikon 1 J5 can record 1080p at 30/60 fps and there is also an option for 120 fps but that is for 720p. Nikon 1 J5 is also capable of capturing 4K videos at 15 fps.
The Nikon J5 Features with a 20.8-megapixel, VFI CMOS sensor (DC format), an XP5A image processor. Nikon 1 J5 claims to have 171 contrast detection and 105 phase detection points. ISO range of 1600 to 12,800 and support for NFC and WiFi.
Nikon j5 has a 3 inch high-resolution flip-up LCD display it can tilt up to 180 degrees vertically so it is perfect for selfies and groupies says Nikon.
Nikon has not released the date of availability for the MILC camera but has mentioned that it will be available ‘soon’ and will be priced at $499 (USD) with a 10-30mm, which is equivalent to 27-81mm, and has F3.5-5.6 VR power zoom lens. Other variants along with the new launch includes: 30-100mm which is equivalent to 81-270mm, has F3.8-5.6 VR telephoto kit and will be priced for $749 and 10-100mm which is equivalent to 27-270mm, and will be priced at $1049.
