There are lot of speculation and rumors regarding the features, release date and price of Microsoft’s upcoming premium devices dubbed as Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL, The Microsoft Lumia 940 and the Lumia 940 XL are now expected to release on fourth quarter of this year.
The new news says that Microsoft will apparently skip a fingerprint scanner on Lumia 940 XL and have instead decided to use an iris scanner for their new flagship.
The Lumia 940 will have a 5.2 inch display while Microsoft Lumia 940 XL is rumored to feature a 5.7 inch display with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The device is rumored to be powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and will apparently come with 3GB of RAM and an Adreno 430 GPU, also to feature 32gB of storage and a microSD card slot which will sport 128GB cards. The device will apparently also feature a new USB Type-C connector.
The front camera on the device is rumored to be a 5 MP and the rear camera is rumored to be a 20 MP with PureView camera, and will run on newly released Windows phone 10.
The rumours also claims that Microsoft Lumia 940 will be powered by 3,000mAh battery while Lumia 940 XL may be powered by 3,300mAh battery.
There is no news about Microsoft Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL when it will be release but it speculated to be released on early Q4, 2015. The price of the Microsoft Lumia 940 is believed to be near $599 USD.
