Today, Meizu has officially launched a new smartphone called the MX6 at its event in China. Meizu MX6 is a successor to last year’s MX5. The smartphone comes with minimal improvements in its specifications. Meizu MX6 is Priced at CNY 1,999 (Approx $299 USD).
The new Meizu MX6 will go on sale from July 30 via retailers. The smartphone is now up for sale via online partners starting Tuesday.
The Meizu MX6 features a 5.5-inch 1080p HD LCD display and the company claimed that it sports a colour gamut (NTSC) of 85%. The smartphone is powered by a 2.3 GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor paired with 4 GB of RAM. The MX6 comes with a 32 GB of inbuilt storage. Unfortunately, there is no word for expand memory.
Meizu MX6 smartphone has a 12-megpaixel rear camera of aperture f/2.0, Sony IMX386 Sensor, PDAF, LED flash and 4K video recording. It has a 5-megpaixel front-facing camera of aperture f/2.0 for selfies and video calling. Front camera also featured with FotoNation 2.0 intelligent beauty and facial Face AE Exposure enhancement algorithms.
Meizu has also included an mTouch 2.0 fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication, which is embedded within the home button. The smartphone runs on Flyme OS 5.5 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G LTE with VoLTE voice calling support, USB Type-C port, 4G LTE (Cat.6), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and GPS.
The smartphone is powered by 3,060 mAh non-removable battery and supports the company’s mCharge feature that can charge the smartphone up to 65% in 30 minutes and full charge in 75 minutes. Meizu said 10 minutes can be charged smartphone up to 25%.
MX6 Meizu comes with full metal body integration and measurements 153.6 x 75.2 x 7.25 mm and weighs 155 g.
The company has also unveiled a new Loop Jacket accessory which is a protective case with the MX6. The Loop Jacket is priced CNY 79 (Approx $12 USD). The cover comes with a circular cutout on the front to quickly glance at time, notifications and more without having to open the protective cover.
In addition, Meizu also introduced a Bluetooth speaker Lifeme BTS30, priced at 399 yuan (Approx $60 USD) and using the metal body of aluminum alloy.
