Meizu today launched its new flagship smartphone MX5 in China.
Meizu MX5 smartphone features a full metal body with physical home button, the physical button houses a fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is 7.6mm thick and weighs just 149 grams.
the MX5 is equipped with a brand-new fingerprint identification system: mTouch 2.0. The new fingerprint sensor makes identification faster and the appearance smoother and elegant. There’s even a colored PVD on the 0.45 mm metal ring, blending the comfortable bevel into the color of the entire body.
The Meizu MX5 comes with a 5.5″ full-HD Super AMOLED display with a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution which roughly translates to 401ppi. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) processor coupled with PowerVR G5200 GPU and 3 GB of RAM.
Meizu MX5 comes in three variants 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB of storage variants.
Meizu MX5 packed with the 3150 mAh battery. Meizu featured with mCharge tech, a fast charging of sorts, which will be able charge your phone 25% in ten minutes and and up to 60% within 40 minutes.
At back side Meizu MX5 has 20.7 MP camera equipped the camera with a 6P lens with 1/2.3-inch sensor and laser autofocus, which dramatically reduces the time needed to focus on the subject. According to Meizu, the phone will do that in mere 0.2 seconds and 5 MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture at front.
The Meizu MX5 is a dual-SIM smartphone supports 4G LTE and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with the company’s own Flyme 4.6 UI on top.
The Meizu MX5 will be available in three colour variants white, grey and gold.
The MX5 has been launched at a price of 1,799 Yuan (approx 290$) for the 16GB variant and the 32 GB and 64 GB variants have been priced at 1,999 Yuan (approx $322) and 2,399 Yuan (approx $387) respectively.
