Canada : Kobo now expanding its eReader line-up with the new Kobo Glo HD. With the Kobo Glo HD company is clearly taking on the high-end Kindle Voyager.
The Kobo Glo HD was unveiled on 7, April in Toronto. The Kobo Glo HD has a 6-inch e-ink display offers the highest resolution 1448 x 1072 display. The device has a 1.0 GHz processor to make those page turns as fast as possible, 4GB of on board storage that can hold up to 3,000 e-books and includes a built-in night light. Kobo Glo HD be available in Canada starting 1, May with price of $129.99. Users can pre-order from Kobo.com official website starting from 8, April.
Kobo said, people will be able to read for days without needs of charging with e-reader as battery that lasts up to two months based on 30 minutes of reading a day with the ComfortLight and WiFi turned off.
The Glo HD is not a waterproof like the firm’s Aura HD but is described as one of the lightest and most portable e-reader devices on the market yet. It measures 157x115x9.2mmmeasures 157x115x9.2mm and weighs 180g allowing it to fit easily into a small bag or jacket pocket.
The new Kobo Glo HD device will launch in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand from May 1, price of $129.99 (USD), will be rolling out in Europe market later in the month for price o €129.99, starting with on 22, May France and followed by Italy, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands. It will also launch in the U.K. on June 1 on price of £109.99.
