One of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in India Micromax has partnered up with Cyanogen, has announced that its next Cyanogen OS smartphone will be called Yuphoria.
The company carried out name buy campaign called “#YUNameIt” via its social platform. The company has called that whole operation “Project Caesar” and has asked its consumers to choose between five possible names: Yuphoria, Yuknight, Yunicorn, Yunity and Youth. Company claims that it received more than 1,00,000 people participated in the poll to give the next Yu phone a name, consumers voted and the phone will be called YU Yuphoria.
“Five randomly selected lucky winners from the entries for name Yuphoria will win the new YU device. Participants have also won Amazon Gift Cards worth Rs. 1 lakh throughout the campaign” company said at press statement.
Yuphoria is a next version of Micromax Yu Yureka, which was managed to sell 25000 units in just 7 seconds through Amazon.in.
The Yuphoria is said to be little costly than the existing Yu Yureka. Yuphoria comes with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm processor with 2GB of RAM. 16GB of internal storage and Cyanogen OS 12 based on Android Lollipop.
No much information is available about when Micromax Yu Yuphoria will be officially unveiled.
