Xiaomi launched MIUI 7 ROM in India with Mi 4i as a limited edition selling starts on 24, August

Xiaomi India today launched company’s new MIUI 7 ROM at event in New Delhi. Xiaomi MiUI 7 is based on both Android operating systems KitKat and the new Android Lollipop and depending on what your phone is running, it will receive the update.

Company says that users will be able to get MiUI 7 starting 24, August 24 as a beta for all smartphones sold in the country. All Xiaomi smartphones are supported by the Beta version which includes Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Redmi Note, and Redmi Note 4G.

Xiaomi has also announced new limited edition for the Mi 4i in Blue, Pink and Yellow color variants. The limited edition Mi 4i variants will be available only on official site Mi.com at the price of ₹12,999.

MIUI 7 offers four new UI themes which can be picked from first startup includes Rose, Pink Blush, Ocean Breeze, and High Life others are available online. Xiaomi has also integrated games and animations particularly from the domain of cricket and Bollywood.

According to company new MIUI 7 is a 30 per cent faster response time when launching system apps than MIUI 6 and battery optimization has also been improved to give you at least 10 percent more battery life in your daily use.

Xiaomi has partnered with Opera Max to compress browser Data By sending data such as images and videos to Opera’s cloud and compressing it before returning it to users’ phones, this feature can provide up to 50% data savings on mobile data connections

The company has partnered with Opera Max for Data Saver feature in its Browser. Data Saver help users compress data and save money.

Xiaomi MIUI 7 will be available on August 24 across India.

Company also offering visual IVR for it’s 50 clients which includes Indian Railways, several banks and others. Visual IVR let users to see options in automated calls and respond at a glance means if you dial any customer care number you will not have to listen and follow instructions like “Please press 1 for English or press 2 for Hindi etc”. The entire instruction tree will be display and users can just tap for the desired reaction.
