Swipe Launched India’s First Smartphone Junior for Kids at Rs. 5,999

Swipe India has launched new smartphone “Junior” on Children’s Day which is specifically made for kids and is priced at Rs 5,999 (Approx 89.99 USD).

The company launched Junior smartphone for the children whose age is 5-15 years.

The device featured with SOS button that can call the pre-defined number with a single touch and includes geo-tracking and geo-fencing that will the track the location of the kid and also notifies when a child crossed the pre-selected location with the geo-fencing settings.

The parents can control the device by blocking certain apps or limiting the usage time for individual apps. With such a useful features this device can be recommended for thoes parents who looks to give their kids a smartphone.

The smartphone sports a 4.5-inch IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz dual-core processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot. It still runs on the Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box. It is a single SIM smartphone which supports 3G connectivity.

It has an 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front cameraand device is backed by a 1,900 mAh battery that the company claims can deliver up to 8 hours of talk time and 120 hours of standby time.

As of now the device is available in Pink and Blue colors and is priced at Rs. 5,999. The device can be bought from all the leading online sites like Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon India, while Flipkart is offering extra Rs. 1,000 discount making it a much sweeter deal.

Company had launched the Swipe Elite 2 priced at Rs. 4,666 with 4G LTE connectivity few weeks back.
