Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab A in India today after launching it in Canada, Malaysia, Australia and some other countries.
Samsung has launched Galaxy Tab A along side with Galaxy Tab E, which was announced in Taiwan just few days ago. Galaxy Tab E tablet will be available starting end of June at price of TWD 6,990 in Taiwan.
The Galaxy Tab A is offering 4G LTE connectivity in an 8-inch form has a screen resolution of 1024 x 768, 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 32GB internal memory with microSD card slot, 5 MP camera at the back plus 2MP front camera, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 4,200mAh battery. The Galaxy Tab A runs on Android 5.0 out of the box.
The Galaxy Tab E is a Wi-Fi model which dose not support SIM card. Galaxy Tab E features a 9.6-inch HD 1280×800 pixels WXGA TFT display and it is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1.5 GB of RAM. A 5 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera. It comes with 8GB of built-in storage, expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Micro-USB with OTG, Bluetooth, and Glonass options. The Galaxy Tab E tablet is backed by a 5000mAh battery.
The Galaxy Tab E measures 241.9×149.5×8.5mm and weighs 490 grams. The company is expected to introduce a 3G or 4G variant of the tablet as well in near future.
Samsung has launched two mid-range tablets Samsung Galaxy Tab A and Samsung Galaxy Tab E in Indian market. Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet is priced at ₹20,500 and Samsung Galaxy Tab E price is ₹16,900.
The Galaxy Tab E will go up for sale on Flipkart within a few weeks.
Both tablet comes with 2GB of cellular data for free for two month collaborations with local carriers Airtel and Vodafone.
