Samsung is aiming to expand its mid-range smartphones with upcoming Galaxy A8 which is believed to be launched very soon. The device was recently dispatched for tests in India under the codename MS-A8000 and can be spotted on GFXBench, where it appeared for tests on May 9.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 is equipped with the 5.5 inch Super AMOLED 1080p display with FingerPrint sensor and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 over the display. Other key features of Galaxy A8 include Android v5.1.1 Lollipop with TouchWiz UX, 64-bit Octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 16MP camera on the back with 5MP at front, 3,050mAh battery and LTE connectivity.
According to prior report Samsung Galaxy A8 would only be launched in China or might be in South Korea, but there are confirmed reports that the Samsung Galaxy A8 will be available in various markets in Asia including India and Europe as well.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 specifications are slight better than its predecessor Galaxy A7, so the price of the Galaxy A8 would rises a bit, But still it would be mid range smartphone.
There is no report yet on when the Samsung Galaxy A8 will launch and its price tag but Samsung Galaxy A8 is expected to be launched in late Q2 or early Q3, 2015 with price of around $550 USD. In india Samsung Galaxy A8 would be priced around ₹35,000.
