Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016) launched in India, Available Exclusively on Snapdeal

Samsung has announced the 2016 variant of Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 in India. Company has announced the mid-range smartphones at its developers forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016) smartphone are priced at Rs 29,400 (Approx $433 USD) and Rs 33,400 (Approx $492 USD) respectively. Both smartphones will be available in Black, Gold, and White exclusively through Snapdeal from February 15, 2016.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 while the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) sports a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Both smartphones run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with newer TouchWiz UX on top with support for third-party themes.

Both these smartphones come with 13 MP primary cameras with ƒ/1.9 aperture, optical image stabilisation, HDR, Panorama, and 1080p video recording and 5 MP front camera accompanied by 24mm wide-angle lens, ƒ/1.9 aperture, and 1080p video recording.

Both deavices are featured with Samsung Exynos 7580 1.6GHz octa-core processor and Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. But the Galaxy A5 (2016) has a 2 GB of RAM while the Galaxy A7 (2016) comes with 3 GB RAM. Both the devices have 16GB of internal storage space which can be further expanded using a microSD card slot upto 128GB. There’s fingerprint scanner built inside the home button which can be used to authenticate the owner of the device to unlock it.

In terms of connectivity both these devices come with dual-SIM card slot and 4G LTE connectivity also feature dual-band Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.1, NFC, GPS, and microUSB v2.0 port with USB OTG functionality.

The Galaxy A5 (2016) is powered by 2,900 mAh battery while the Galaxy A7 (2016) is powered by large 3,400 mAh battery. Both these devices are compatible with Fast Charging technology.

The company is offering 30GB of data for Airtel customers valid over the course of six months.
