On today, Lenovo India at it New Delhi event has launched the fourth generation Moto G smartphone with two variants, the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus.
However company did not announced the availability details of the Moto G4 or Moto G4 Plus. But these smartphones will be exclusively available via Amazon India in Black and White colour variants.
The Moto G4 Plus has been priced at Rs. 13,499 (Approx $202 USD) for its 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant while 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant comes with Rs. 14,999 (Approx $224 USD).
Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus look mostly the same. Both comes with metal trim around the camera and textured back for added grip and convenience and are slim. The Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are nearly identical in terms of specifications but there are slight differences.
The main difference between the G4 and G4 Plus is the fingerprint reader.
Lenovo Moto G4 Plus
The Lenovo Moto G4 Plus comes with 5.5 inch FHD screen with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, A fingerprint reader below the screen which can unlock the phone in just 750ms.
The Moto G4 Plus is a 16MP camera with hybrid focus (Laser + phase detection) and it records 1080p video. The camera uses an OmniVision PureCell Plus sensor with 1.3µm pixels and behind an f/2.0 aperture and the 5MP selfie sensor camera and an 84° wide-angle lens.
The smartphone is featured by a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 (MSM8952) processor with an Adreno 405 GPU and a choice of either 2GB or 3GB of RAM.
The top model comes with 64GB storage and 4GB of RAM. But, there will be more affordable options with 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of storage with MicroSD card slot to expend memory.
Motorola Moto G4 Plus is a dual-SIM (Micro-SIM cards) smartphone supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Micro-USB, 3.5mm audio jack, and GPS/ A-GPS.
The Moto G4 Plus weighs in at 155 grams, and measures 153×76.6×9.8mm, with its thinnest point being 7.9mm thick. Sensors on board include the accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
Lenovo Moto G4 Plus runs on Android v6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of box but users will get update of Android N and O in future.
Lenovo Moto G4
The Moto G4 have many of the same features as the Moto G4 Plus. It has a 5.5 inch screen with 1080p resolution, Snapdragon 617 chipset, 2GB of RAM with choice of 16GB and 32GB built-in storage can be expanded via microSD card.
The 13MP rear camera with 1080p video recording. It offers the same 5MP wide-angle selfie cam as the Plus model.
Both the Moto G4 and G4 Plus have 3,000mAh batteries but only the Moto G4 Plus has a Turbo Charger in the box. It can put 6 hours worth of juice in just 15 minutes.
Both smartphones also offers the ‘dual-SIM with intelligent calling’ functionality on that allows users to assign contacts to a SIM card, enabling them to switch between two call plans for business and home.
