Today Lava has launched a new tablet in India named X80. Lava X80 is currently priced at Rs 9,999 (Approx $148 USD) and will be available across retail outlets in India.

Lava X80 specifications includes 8-inch HD IPS 1280×800 pixels display, a 1.83 GHz Intel quad-core processor paired with 1 GB of RAM with 16 GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card.

Lava X80 features a 5-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash and a 3.2-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The connectivity options include 2G/3G, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm Audio Jack, FM radio, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, GPS, and Micro-USB 2.0 and comes with OTG cable.

Based on this price the Lava X80 will face competition with Xiaomi Mi Pad and the Lenovo Tab 2 A850. The Mi Pad is currently priced Rs 10,999 and comes with a better specifications and features than Lava X80, While Lenovo Tab 2 A85 is currently priced Rs 12,350 and comes with 4G support.
