Lava to launch next-generation Android One Smartphone in India on July 14 at price of ₹12,000

Google is soon going to launch new Android One smartphone in India. As per latest report Google is partnering with Lava to launch a new Android One smartphone for price of  ₹12000 on July 14, but there’s no official announcement about it as yet. The launch may be attended by top Google executives involved with the project.

The price is almost double of the previous Android One devices launched in India. but new Android One will have enhanced specifications and features with exclusive apps and services developed in partnership of Google and Lava.

New Lava One will feature a 5-inch display and will be powered by a MediaTek chipset with 2 GB of RAM. Google has made improvements to the operating system and has worked closely with Lava to enhance the platform. New Lava One is said to support 4G LTE network and have 8 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras. Google and Lava are also said to be working on specific software features tailored to the region.

According to report Google is likely to spend around $10 million-15 million on marketing and promotion during the second phase of the Android One project in India this year. The new phone from Lava will be available online and in shops.
