Smartphone maker Gionee has now finally launched its metal-clad “S6” smartphone in India after few months it was launched. Gionee S6 was first launched in China in November last year.
Company has priced the Gionee S6 at Rs 19,999 (Approx $295 USD) and it will be exclusively available on Online site Flipkart in Silver, Golden and Rose Gold colour options.
Gionee S6 is featured by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 SoC with 1.3GHz octa-core CPU and Mali T-720 GPU. It comes with a 5.5-inch 720p AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has a 3GB of RAM and 32GB expandable internal memory up to 128GB and packs in a 3,150mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 18 hours of talk-time and 384 hours of standby time on 3G connectivity. In terms of camera it features a 13MP at rear and a 5 MP at front.
It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with the company’s AMIGO OS 3.1 on top. The Gionee S6 comes with dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) SIM support. The second SIM slot also doubles as the microSD card slot.
The S6 connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPS, 4G LTE (including Band 40 and VoLTE), USB with OTG and USB Type-C (2.0) connectivity. It includes sensors such as proximity sensor, accelerometer, magnetometer, ambient light sensor, motion sensor, and gyroscope.
Gionee S6 measures 151.9×74.6×6.9mm and weighs 148 grams.
