Chinese manufacturer Gionee has unveiled two new smartphones dubbed as Gionee Elife E8 and Gionee Marathon M5 at an event in Beijing, one featuring a 24 MP camera and the other a 6,000mAh battery.
Gionee claims, The new Elife E8 24 MP rear camera can produce images of up to 100MP resolution. The front camera of this smartphone has an 8 MP.
Gionee Elife E8 has a 6-inch Super AMOLED QHD display with 1440x2540p resolution, runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop featuring the company’s Amigo 3.1 software. The smartphone has a 2.0 GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6785 chipset with 3GB RAM and comes with 64GB internal storage.
The Gionee Elife E8 is a dual-sim smartphone supports 4G and NFC. Powered by a 3,500mAh battery, Gionee Elife E8 has a fingerprint scanner and dual speakers that support High Fidelity sound.
On other hand Gionee Marathon M5 has a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with 720x1280p resolution, runs on Android Lollipop operating system, 16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM with quad-core Mediatek MT6735 chipset, 13 MP rear camera with 5 MP front camera and 4G support. Marathon M5 has a 6,000 mAh battery, can last up to 4 days on a single charge. The company claims that the smartphone’s extreme mode enables it to deliver standby time of 62 hours with only 5% of charge. The handset can also be used to charge up to 2 devices simultaneously.
The Elife E8 is priced at CNY ¥3,999 and will go on sale in China on July 15. The Marathon M5 on the other hand is priced at CNY ¥2,299 and will go on sale in China on June 25.
In India the Gionee Elife E8 is likely to be released near september for price of ₹41,999 and Marathon M5 can be released on July with price of ₹24,499.
