Asus ZenFone Zoom Set to Debut in India This Month

Asus India is set to launch the ZenFone Zoom smartphone across the country this month. The device made its debut at CES event 2015.

Asus India has sent out a press said it will launch its “most advanced photography-focused smartphone” in January, Company is informing to gearing up to ‘reinvent smartphone photography’ talks of a phone with ‘unprecedented hardware technology for the clearest and sharpest images ever captured through a smartphone’. All these accounts describe the ZenFone Zoom (ZX551ML).

There are two variants of the device, first one with an 2.3 GHz Intel Atom Quad Core Z3580 processor and second one with an 2.5GHz Intel Atom Quad Core Z3590. the phone comes with either 64GB of 128GB of integrated storage. However, It is still not clear unclear which variant will release to the Indian market.

The highlight of the smartphone is the 13MP rear camera that supports 3X optical zoom, Laser Auto Focus and 10 lens elements with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The device also features Asus Pixelmaster technology that helps to capturing low-light images with up to 400% increased sensitivity in dark conditions which eliminates the need to use the flash.

Other specifications include a 5.5-inch Full HD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, 4GB of RAM, a microSD card slot to add up to 128GB of storage and a is powered by 3,000mAH battery. Connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB. The Asus Taiwan listing confirms that the ZenFone Zoom supports Indian 4G LTE bands as well.

The Asus ZenFone Zoom is accepted to release in USA in February at $399.
