Asus ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) with 6-inch display launched in India for Rs. 17,999

Asus has now launched a new variant of the ZenFone 2 Laser smartphone in India. After the success of ZenFone 2 Laser 5 and 5.5 inch variants of the phone are already available in market, the new variant is equipped with a larger 6-inch full HD (1080p) display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Asus ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) will come in three colors Red, Silver, and Gold.

Asus ZenFone 2 Laser 6 is priced at Rs 17,999 (Approx $269 USD) and will be available from midnight on leading e-commerce sites Flipkart, Amazon India and Snapdeal. Asus has also mentioned that the smartphone would be available via offline channels from second week of December.

The new ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) supports dual-SIM dual standby which supports Indian 4G LTE bands and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop based on compnay’s own ZenUI. It is featured by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (MSM8939) coupled with 3GB of RAM.

It sports a 13 MP rear autofocus camera with f2.0 aperture and LED flash and a 5 MP front camera. The ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) offers a 16GB of built-in storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card up to 128GB. Asus is also offering 5GB of web storage for lifetime and 100GB of Google drive space for two years.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and Micro-USB. The smartphone is powered by a 3,000mAh Li-Polymer battery.

At this price range of smart phones ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) will compete with the Gionee Marathon M5 and S Plus, Lenovo Vibe S1 and OnePlus X among others.
