Huawei has launched the much-rumored Honor 8 smartphone in China. Huawei Honor 8 comes in three variants with in Pearl White, Sunrise Gold, Midnight Black, Sakura Pink and Sapphire Blue colors.
The main highlight of the Huawei Honor 8 smartphone are the dual 12-megapixel rear cameras with laser auto focus and 1.76-micron pixel size promising brilliant image quality in low-light conditions and 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture.
Huawei Honor 8 comes in 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage, 4 GB RAM with 32GB / 64GB storage, expandable memory up to 128 GB with microSD.
Huawei Honor 8 specification includes 5.2-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display, an Octa-Core Kirin 950 SoC with i5 co-processor. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with EMUI 4.1 on top.
Honor 8 has a fingerprint sensor on the back and measures 145.5 x 71 x 7.45 mm and weight 153g with metal frame with glass back and packs a 3000 mAh battery with support for fast charging.
The connectivity options includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C and Infrared sensor.
Honor 8 32 GB variant features 3 GB of RAM and is priced at CNY 1,999 (Approx $299 USD / Rs 20,000 for India). The 32GB variant with 4GB of RAM is priced at CNY 2,299 (Approx $343 USD / Rs 22,999 for India). However the 64 GB variant with 4 GB RAM is priced at CNY 2,499 (Approx $373 USD / Rs 24,999 for India)
The Honor 8 will be available in China from July 19, but there’s currently no word on a launch in other markets.
