Huawei has officially announced its Honor 5X smartphone feature with fingerprint sensor in China. The Huawei Honor 5X comes with a metal-clad and it is also known as the Honor Glory Play 5X.
Huawei Honor 5X comes in two variants with 2GB of RAM and 3GB of RAM with priced at CNY 999 (Approx $153.99 USD or Rs. 10,200 in India) and CNY 1,399 (Approx $215.99 USD or Rs. 14,300 in India) respectively.
Huawei Honor 5X comes with 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display. It is powered by 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 SoC with Adreno 405 GPU.
Huawei Honor 5X available in a dual-SIM version (Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM) with dual-4G standby support and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with the EMUI 3.1 skin.
The smartphone comes with 16GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded via MicroSD card up to 128GB. The Huawei Honor 5X also sports a 13 MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 28mm wide-angle lens, 5P lens, and Blue Glass IR filter and the 5 MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, 22mm wide-angle, 4P Lens, Blue Glass filter and a shooting range of 88 degrees comes housed inside the smartphone.
The Honor 5X is packed by a 3,000mAh battery which is said to deliver up to 1.46 days of regular usage and up to 1.01 days of heavy usage time. It supports Quick Charge 3.0 which can charge up to 50% battery in 30 minutes. The smartphone features a fingerprint sensor with the company’s latest ‘Fingerprint 2.0’ tech, which is said to unlock the handset in as little as 0.5 seconds which is placed on the rear panel below the camera.
The smartphone supports Bluetooth 4.1, USB 2.0, GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 4G LTE (FDD and TDD) connectivity options.
The Honor 5X measures 151.3×76.3×8.15mm and weighs 158 grams and will be available in Silver and Gold color options.
Huawei Honor 5X is available in China and so far there is no word on the smartphone’s availability in other markets.
