HTC has announced its new flagship Android smartphone, the HTC One M9 at the annual Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Spain on Sunday along with HTC Vive headset which is being developed in collaboration with Valve co also smart-band called the HTC Grip meant primarily for the US market.
The HTC One M9 is a premium smartphone that come with jewellery grade dual-metallic unibody design, scratch-resistant coating and sapphire glass on the camera lens. HTC One M9 looks almost identical to its predecessor HTC One M8.
HTC One M9 is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 3 GB of RAM. HTC One M9 features 5.0 inch 1080p display with Super LCD3, 32 GB expandable storage, runs on the latest version of Android Lollipop with the new Sense 7 on top. Sense has been updated to be more “contextually aware” acting, providing users with useful information based on their location and activity. For example, giving users train times at the train station or restaurant recommendations at lunch time, option to customize the navigation bar so you will be able to change the keyboard layout and put additional shortcuts of virtually anything. The connectivity package includes with LTE Cat.6 or Cat.9 based by region with support for 21 LTE bands, wired and wireless TV-out, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and Wi-Fi ac.
HTC One M9 embedded with a 20MP BSI camera on the back and dual-LED flash with shooting resolution is 5376 x 3752 px, an 4 front facing camera and packed with 2840mAh battery.
The pricing of HTC One M9 is not announced yet but the HTC One M9 is expected to launch in March.
