BlackBerry unveils 5-inch “Leap” will cost $275

BlackBerry has unveiled “Leap” at the company’s MWC 2015 press conference. BlackBerry Leap is an budget-minded mid-range smartphone featured with 5 inch 720p HD display. The company will also introduce three other devices this year with a new keyboard-based model and another that is a curved-screen device with a slide-out physical keyboard.

The BlackBerry Leap weighs 170 g. measures 144 x 72.8 x 9.5mm. BlackBerry Leap specs includes a 1.5GHz dual-core Krait CPU and 2GB of RAM. Internal storage is 16GB with a microSD card slot that can be expanded up to 128GB. An 8MP, 5x digital zoom camera with LED flash with 2MP at front. The Leap runs on BlackBerry 10.3.1, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11n Wi-Fi, A-GPS and a built-in FM radio and LTE connectivity.

Company says Leap can last up to 25 hours of heavy use, BlackBerry Leap will power an impressive 2800 mAh battery and optimization of power consumption.

The New BlackBerry Leap will cost you around $275 around £180-190 when it arrives in the UK. The Leap will launch in April.
