Apple Now Accept Broken iPhone as Trade-in

First time Apple is going to accept Broken iPhones as a trade-in from those wanting to upgrade. Until now, company was offering a credit to iPhone owners only if the device had an intact screen and working buttons.

Apple believes that with more leeway, applicable only to iPhone 5 and later models, more people will upgrade to new iPhones.

Handsets with broken screens, cameras and buttons are now part of the Apple Store’s Reuse and Recycle program and you can now hand it over to Apple for store credit toward a new iPhone.

As new Apple Store policy, damaged phones are now included in the scheme with with rates of, company pays up to $350 for phones without cracked screens or broken buttons. For damaged phones, it will pay $50 for a iPhone 5S, $150 for a iPhone 6 and $200 for a iPhone 6 Plus.
