Apple’s new iPad Pro finally has an official launch date. Apple on Monday announced that the iPad Pro will be available to order online from Wednesday 11, November from Apple.com and will arrive at Apple’s retail stores and select carriers and Apple Authorized resellers starting later this week. However, the iPad iPad Pro will be available only for select countries.
Apple Pencil and Apple’s new Smart Keyboard, which are companion accessories for the iPad Pro, will also be available from Wednesday.
The Apple Pencil will be sold for $99 (Approx Rs 6,999 in India) and the smart keyboard will cost consumers $169 (Approx Rs 11,299 in India).
Apple had unveiled iPad Pro in early September which sports a 12.9-inch Retina display a big step up from the 9.7-inch display of the iPad Air.
It comes with the Apple A9X processor and 4GB of RAM. As per the company, the iPad Pro is faster than 80 percent of the mobile PCs shipped in the past year.
The iPad Pro is available in three variations. The 32GB Wi-Fi-only model sells for $799 (Approx Rs 52,999 in India), while the 128GB Wi-Fi-only version sells for $949 (Approx Rs 62,999 in India). The 128GB Wi-Fi + cellular model goes for $1,079 (Approx Rs 71,999 in India).
Preorders for the iPad Pro are already listed at such retailers as Staples and MacMall. Staples currently shows the availability date as November 25, while MacMall says it will ship the tablet from mid-November.
